For centuries the plumage of ducks and geese has served as the natural filling for pillows and quilts. The quality characteristics of feathers and down vary. This has a bearing, of course, on their specific use but also on their price.

Large, cold-resisting down balls mature only in climatic zones with extremely cold winters (Eastern Europe and Siberia). All of our products are filled with premium Siberian feather and down. The reason that we use these feather and down is that These natural filling product is known worldwide for its unique quality:  

Nearly free living Snow Geese  protect themselves in the Siberian Winter against  temperatures of minus 40 degrees C by the biggest down balls ever seen in the world.  This natural construction enables Siberian Snow Geese to stay alive in the Siberian Winter, which is the coldest place for farming. The hand plucked down balls with their big white Ceratin centres, guaranteed for many decades remaining quality and best warmth conservation. German experience in high quality down processing and the optimal clime conditions in Siberia, combined with a permanent quality control by German and Japanese institutes, leads to this Top Quality product.

FEATHER AND DOWN : FEATURES AND BENEFITS

 WEIGHT: Down, unlike feathers, has no quill, it is simple a ball of fluff made of tentacles radiating from the centre. The more the down the less weight in a quilt to inhibit sleep.

WARMTH: Down nodules "loft"- no other product can do this naturally. This lofting is what makes a quilt with more than content appearing fuller that another quilt with more feather content but same weight. The down module traps heat passing from the body and retains it. This warmth factor, coupled with its weight, creates the ideal sleeping mode.

BREATHABILITY: Down has the unique ability to let the moisture, generated by the human body during sleep, pass off but retaining the body heat at the same time.

DRAPABILITY: Down quilts will hug the shape of the body so few cold spots occur as compared with synthetic or feather quilts.

DURABILITY; Down is the most resilient fill and , provided it is cared for, will last a lifetime.

NON-ALLERGENIC: Down is non-toxic, is totally inert, and so can not aggravate allergies. Due to static electricity, down quilts may tend to collect dust on the outer casing. Provided the quilt is cleaned frequently, this problem is reduced. 

WHICH DUVET IS FOR YOU?

We encourage our customers to buy higher content of down to fully appreciate the features and benefits of sleeping in a Down quilt. Our Quilts has been designed to provide the optimum sleeping comfort at different room temperature range:

Extra Warm: High in Down content and in filling weight for room temperatures ranging from 5 to 9 degrees centigrade.

Warm: High or medium in Down content and light in weight if you sleep in a cool room (10 to 14 degree C)

Medium warm: if you sleep in a moderately warm room ranging from 15 to 10 degrees centigrade.
